These rims were a cinch to build up compared to 355s. The added rigidity of Arch rims help to build a true and evenly tensioned wheel rather quickly. Paired with American Classic hubs, black DT Swiss Comp spokes, and red alloy nipples my wheel set weighed in at 1740 grams. Overall, these wheels are snappy and light. Using Stan's yellow tape, valves, and sealant these wheels have worked perfectly with the new tubeless ready Racing Ralphs. I used to think that Bontrager's TLR system was the best but this set up works just as well. If you want a sturdy yet light rim for everyday XC riding then these are for you. In addition, if you want to try your hand at wheel building these are an excellent option.

This is my second build using Stans Arch rims. These are great rims and at a price that couldn't be passed up. I used this one on a build with a White Industries M16 rear hub, for my new touring/gravel grinder ride. The result is a reliable, light, and gorgeous looking rim that will serve me well. Just picked up my new WI front M16 hub, and will be ordering another Arch (from TF), to complete my wheelset.

You would be well served using the Arch 29 for your XC machine. This was my third build with these rims, with the expected results (once again). The folks at Stans really know their stuff. Thanks TF for the primo service and the Price Matching!

This is my second time building a wheelset with Stans Arch rims (first time w/ 29er rims). I find these rims easy to build into true/round wheels and they've been absolutely bombproof on my full-suspension 26er. I expect the same from my SS 29er setup. The weight is great too (Hope Pro II Trials rear hub, XT front).
